Sometimes raising teenagers is like a long cold bitter winter. If this is true for you, reach out to other parents for support and strength. You may even consider taking a break from your adolescent by either having him/her stay with a friend or relative for awhile, or taking a vacation and leaving the kids with a trusted caregiver in your home. The daily struggles wth having a troubled teen can be exhausting. Take a break until you can feel dedicated again to helping your teen accomplish successful achievement of the life-cycle stage of adolescence.
