When's the last time you took a break from your kids? I mean a real vacation or at least a weekend getaway?
I know, it's too hard to get away, they'll tear up the house or get into trouble or some other awful thing. Or it's too expensive.
Here's a suggestion. Contact the parent(s) of your teen's best friend. Suggest a trade. You take the kids one weekend and they take them another. Many people think this is a grand idea and simply haven't taken a risk to get it started.
Then find a place you can go or just stay home without the kids. It's peaceful, and the recharging you'll gain will help you address the months ahead.
